Hey, I’m Brandon!
I'm Brandon Christie, a Humanist Officiant based in Kitchener, Ontario. I believe every ceremony — whether a wedding, memorial, or any other life milestone — should be as unique as the people at the heart of it.
No rigid traditions, no religious scripts — just a meaningful, personal experience crafted around you!
Ceremonies
Wedding Ceremony
Your love story is one of a kind—your wedding should be too. As a Humanist Officiant, I create ceremonies that focus on you—your values, your journey, and the meaning behind your commitment. Whether you want something lighthearted, deeply emotional, or a mix of both, I’ll work with you to craft a ceremony that feels authentic, inclusive, and unforgettable.
Funeral Service
Saying goodbye is never easy, but a well-crafted ceremony can bring comfort, honour a life well-lived, and offer space for reflection and healing. My approach to funerals is personal and heartfelt—no impersonal scripts, just a meaningful tribute to your loved one’s legacy. Together, we’ll create a ceremony that truly captures their essence and the impact they had on the people who loved them.
Milestone Ceremony
Life is full of moments worth celebrating, from welcoming a new family member to affirming your true identity or marking a major life transition. Whether it’s a baby naming, transgender celebration, deconversion ceremony, or another significant event, I’ll help you create a ceremony that feels right for you— authentic, personal, and deeply meaningful.

Meet your Officiant
I’m Brandon Christie! I hail from Peterborough, Ontario but I’ve lived in Kitchener-Waterloo for the past 15 years! I live with my partner Jake, an incredible human and professionally-trained baker who keeps me laughing every day. I love getting together with family and friends - my social battery seems to be endless! I’m an avid potter, concertgoer, movie enthusiast, and forager (when the weather allows!).
I’m an active member of Humanist Canada, a secular organization that believes we only have one life to live, so we should be living it to the greatest extent that we can every day. That means being a well-intentioned, productive member of your community without a reliance on a scripture or deity. Humanist Canada advocates for 2SLGBTQ+ and Indigenous rights, women’s right to choose, and the separation of church and state in the Canadian Government.
